Johan Neeskens (pic) joined Barcelona from Ajax, in 1974, the season after fellow Dutchman Johan Cruyff. A Copa del Rey victory in 1978 set Barcelona on the path to winning the 1979 European Cup Winners Cup, with an epic, 4-3, extra-time, win against Fortuna Dusseldorf in the final in Basle. Goals scored by Sanchez, Asensi, Rexach and Krankel won the cup for Barcelona, and Johan Neeskens played in every single one of Barcelonas 9 European Cup Winners Cup matchs along the way.
