The 1989/90 season saw Crystal Palace reach the FA Cup Final for the first time in the clubs history. The Eagles went into the game as underdogs against Sir Alex Ferguson's Manchester United, but battled well in a thrilling 3-3 draw at Wembley, with Mark Hughes and Ian Wright grabbing two goals a piece. The replay was played on 17th May 1990 in front of a packed Wembley crowd - a Lee Martin goal was enough for United to lift the cup in a 1-0 victory.
